Sylvia A Crecelius, CFP®, CLSA™
Sylvia initially established a financial counseling practice in 1970, in Miami, Florida, while affiliated with a large securities firm. In 1974, Sylvia voluntarily surrendered securities broker and insurance licenses, establishing her own consulting firm.
Sylvia’s consulting practice serves clients across a large area of the U.S. In addition, Sylvia was on the team that formed The Stewardship Alliance, LLC and The Stewardship Solution, LLC. She has participated in leadership in these companies since their founding and currently serves as President of each company. These companies were created to serve Christian church and Para church organizations by providing high value stewardship-based leadership and planning services to their contributors. |
A vital process, centered on Biblical stewardship principles, is at the core of the counseling and planning provided to those individuals, families, and business organizations Sylvia serves. Questions and decisions are considered in traditional areas, involving identification, analysis, and incorporation of appropriate strategies in charitable, tax, financial, retirement, and estate matters. Frequently, business planning, including start-up situations, employee benefit matters, buy/sell consulting including family business succession issues, are involved.
Over the years, Sylvia has been invited to speak at family and business meetings and retreats held by her clients, as well as at multiple programs established by retirement communities, for-profit companies, Christian organizations, and professional organizations.
Sylvia attended the University of Florida and the College for Financial Planning. She received her CFP® designation in 1976, the 399th individual to receive that designation. Sylvia is a Charter Member of Kingdom Advisors. Sylvia is also a Certified Life Stewardship Advisor™.
In cooperation with Dr. Scott Preissler, Sylvia, Dr. David McQuitty, and Beth Andrews organized The National Center for Stewardship & Generosity, Inc. She has served as President and Chairman of the Board since The Center was organized in April 2014.
Sylvia was widowed after 29 years of marriage to Robert. Her family circle includes her daughter and son-in-love, her son and daughter-in-love, their eight children, and their growing families.
